My heart started beating when I was 6 weeks old

I will love you as long as you are moving

I was moving my arms and legs since I was 8 weeks old

I will love you as long as you can feel

I could feel since I was 11 weeks old

I will love you as long as you can hear my voice

I could hear your voice since I was 13 weeks old

I will love you as long as you can pull faces

I could pull faces since I was 15 weeks old

I will love you as long as your hands can grasp

I could grasp since I was 16 weeks old and I have my own unique fingerprints already

I will love you as long as you can feel what I feel

I could sense your stress since I was 19 weeks old

I will love you as long as you can taste and swallow

I could taste and swallow since I was 21 weeks old and I like some of the things you eat!

I will love you as long as you react to me dancing

I could sense you dancing since I was 23 weeks old and I love it…I love the dog barking too…

I will love you as you give your last hiccup before I decide you can’t live…

You see I have a human right to end your life because it will not be the best for me.

I’m sorry you got such a short time to enjoy living and that you’ll never see the dog.

They say it will be better for me….

I’m sure you understand your life has to be sacrificed for mine.
