She stares at her image
Wishing this and wishing that
He works harder and harder
Wishing this and wishing that

She wanders through the aisles
Wishing this and wishing that
He wears the latest fashion
Wishing this and wishing that

She visits a friends big house
Wishing this and wishing that
He sees the neighbours new car
Wishing this and wishing that

She watches the talent shows
Wishing this and wishing that
He goes to the gym
Wishing this and wishing that

She waits for flowers and cards
Wishing this and wishing that
He sees a pretty girl looking at him
Wishing this and wishing that

Wisdom cries out in the streets:
“Be content with what you have.”

But the foolish keep on despising
truth that could save their lives.
